Im sure some new and old players will agree with me - was a good idea to add him.
At least now in pre new players do have a chance to earn some money - money at start in pre has always been difficult and it may cut down on the usual cry in chat - can anyone give me money lol.
So a small addition within gw but a good 1 in my books - Regina let the staff know some of us do appreciate the addition and ty.

I hope it means Ritualists will finally get a buff instead of incessant nerfs.
How about making Spirits mobile, or giving Spawning Power a tangible effect?

Nice that they added in a new model they had just sitting around.
Makes me think the April update will be all the better.

I think it is one of the best parts to pre searing ascalon and fort ranik will finally see a few people now too.
I have been in and out of fort ranik farming the odd skale for a long time and most days euro english district 1 is empty at least i can talk to some people now

I actually like the new collector, it gives me an excuse to go back and enjoy the beauty of pre-searing without feeling like I'm wasting my time.

If Anet just keeps adding small things like this, I could hold onto Guild Wars until Guild Wars 2. Small fun stuff like this is awesome ;D

The addition is a big plus I think and hopefully the 5 gift limit a day and rotating collectors item are ideas to be used for the future (maybe even April in post??)
a) New players can now get decent cash for the 3g collectable items to help them start off
b) Means the perma have a true source of getting the consumable titles without having to just go mad on weekends
c) Controls the prices of consumables in pre from going silly and hopefully discourages people from trying to buy off the unaware cheap to sell leter for much more.
Like Lindsay said, I expected this was one of the first additions that was made and well before any skill updates for the month would have been considered anyway. To suggest the skill updates were put back because of this is kind of silly.
It will be interesting to see the effect on the pre/post gold trades by this new npc.

Hmm.. Should be pretty easy to 'abuse' I think.
1. Farm tons of crap.
2. Have a lot of accounts.
3. Turn in 5 things a day per account.
Looking at it in that perspective, should make it a decent bit easier to work on certain titles, assuming you have several accounts.

1) Farming "tons of crap" isnt that easy in pre, its not like raptor farming. Ive been getting 2-3 baked husks per run today, so that would need 10 runs just for 1 char. If you really are into soul destroying farming it could be possible to farm 250 a day I suppose, but to do that every day.. I think there are much easier ways to earn more cash than that.
2) anet love people with lots of accounts as it means more money for them.
3) you can turn in 5 things per day per char, therefore on a normal proph only account, you could have 4x5 things per day per account.

On a side note, it would be nice to have collectors like this in Post Searing as well so you could get fireworks and other goodies year round.

There is another level 20 NPC in pre-searing, Captain Osric is level 20.

Or just keep deleting and remaking one character.
